“Squid”

Originally derived from the manner of movement of a squid…

* A young motorcyclist who overestimates his abilities, boasts of his riding skills when in reality he has none. Squid bikes are usually decorated with chrome and various anodized bits. Rear tires are too wide for their own good, swing arm extended. Really slow in the corners, and sudden bursts of acceleration when a straight appears. Squids wear no protection, deeming themselves invincible. This fact compounds itself with the fact that they engage in ‘extreme riding’–performing wheelies and stoppies in public areas. Squids wreck a lot.

* A young man on an incredibly over powered motorcycle, wearing nothing but a helmet who buys an R1 as their first bike, and logs onto a non-stunting sportbike forum asking how to wheelie.

I always called these ‘squids’ a name of a different animal… Particularly for not wearing protection and overestimating their ability.

I don’t think Squid will give me the same satisfaction as I scream it from my sunroof :)

    Yes… I am getting old!

I second that all, I’ve seen so many of those creatures lurking around the streets constantly scanning every passing car hoping to find someone who’s worth dieing in the stupidest way for the most un-human reason. sighs
