Faster than an F1

June 2, 2009 by

Dani Pedrosa has set a new top speed record of 349.3 km/h on his Repsol Honda, a record speed higher than what F1 cars manage on their fastest straight at Monza.

The new recored is 1.7 km/h faster than the previous record, set by Loris Capirossi on a 990 Ducati in 2003, Pedrosa had the benefit of slipstreaming Rossi.

I think the old NSR’s (500cc V4, 2-stroke) could also hit that speed. But then anything above 300 is awesome whether you’re on two wheels or four! :)
