last Friday i went to the 4th Abdali gathering, the event was organized by both Ducati Club and BMW Motorcycle Club for club members, family, and kids…bikes and cars gathered at the Green Island parking and from there they headed to one of the club members farm in Abdali.

It was a fun day for all, getting together, playing games, and barbecuing.

“Squid”

Originally derived from the manner of movement of a squid…

* A young motorcyclist who overestimates his abilities, boasts of his riding skills when in reality he has none. Squid bikes are usually decorated with chrome and various anodized bits. Rear tires are too wide for their own good, swing arm extended. Really slow in the corners, and sudden bursts of acceleration when a straight appears. Squids wear no protection, deeming themselves invincible. This fact compounds itself with the fact that they engage in ‘extreme riding’–performing wheelies and stoppies in public areas. Squids wreck a lot.

* A young man on an incredibly over powered motorcycle, wearing nothing but a helmet who buys an R1 as their first bike, and logs onto a non-stunting sportbike forum asking how to wheelie.
