Arab Riders racing team is Kuwait’s first motorcycle racing team, the guys has been riding motorcycles all their live…they actually don’t remeber when was the first time they rode a motorcycle but what they do remember is that back in 2008 they decided to take their hobby a bit more serious.

I have known Mohamad Al Hadad and Fahad Al Owaish – the 2 guys behind the Arab Riders – for a couple of years and over a cup of coffee we had a serious chat -for a change-, i asked them a couple of questions about the hobby and their recent participation at the Qatar International Road Racing Championship. The below message was sent to the blog email..

Dear all ,

I wish that mr Jafar Bebehani will read this mail .

I was in Kuwait some 10 or 15 years ago enjoying the friendship of a fantastic guy , mr Jafar and of all the other riders that on Friday morning were gathering themselves for the weekly ride.

It was really a good time and I bought a Ducati 916 SP3 and an HD 883 from Desert Star.

I think I was the only Italian riding with the group, so I hope that somebody remembers me.

I should be from 10 to 16th of july in Kuwait for a business trip, and  I’ll be very pleased to meet some of the old friends.

If mr Jafar will read the mail I’ll be pleased if he can send me a message with the mobile number.

Cesare RICCHETTI

Well Mr.RICCHETTI if your Ducati had a “Fast By Ferracci” exhaust system then i remember you, and am sure a couple of the guys who used to ride in that group do remember you….nothing has changed we are still riding and racing like kids and then stop for coffee to start lying about who beat who :-).

Am sure Mr.Jaffar well be reading this post and will be replying, we would love to see you when you are back in Kuwait.

Alrashid Hospital in collaboration with Kuwait BMW Motorcycles Club, organized a ride for club members in the occasion of the “Gulf Smoke Out Day “…meeting point was at Al Corniche Club and from there to Al Rashid Hospital for a snack, refreshments, and a little prsentation on the side effects of smoking, and how can Alrashid Hospital helps those who are willing to quit.

Smokers wrote down their names on their cigarets packs and dropped them in box for a draw on prices form the event sponsors,  the funny part was that there were very few smokers -around 5 out of over 50 riders-, and those who smoked were lucky because they’ll be wining some cool prices in the draw.

Females Ride Day

International Female Ride Day is a synchronized worldwide event where women motorcycle riders demonstrates their enjoyment and passion for motorcycle riding.
Introduced back in 2007 with the aim of highlighting the number of women riders, build female rider awareness, and encourage other women to take up the activity.
The FEMALE RIDE DAY  started as a National event in Canada with the intention to go globally, the success it made in 2007 made it easy to make it an International event!
Kuwait BMW Motorcycle Club is organizing the same event locally on Friday 2 May 1st 2008, check their website for more info.
