Marmaris Extended
We were supposed to stay only 2 days in Marmaris, just to rest before continuing our journey to Greece, Marmaris is a very commercial touristic area full of -mostly- European young men and women who are asleep in the morning and drunkhaving sexfighting at night…even the beaches are bad compared to the ones we saw on the way at Fethiye and Alanya.
We had a change of plans, we will be staying until Friday…we met some locals and we told them that we don’t like it here so they decided to show us around and take us to a couple of places, places that are still pure, places that are real Turkish.
Good morning Marmaris
1545km from our house in Syria to the Hotel in Marmaris, it was a fun and tiring ride…we rode day and night, on narrow twisty roads and on wide open highways, on road and off road, slept at five star hotels and on the sidewalk next to a gas station….went from zero to 2km elevation -according to Mr.Garmin-, we even rode thru the car shower with the bikes when the weather was hot.
We arrived early evening yesterday, unpacked took a shower and went down to check out the city, will be staying 2 nights then take the ferry to Rhodes. Read more
Destination Greece
We were planing this trip of a while and were supposed to leave Kuwait back in July, but we had to postponed it hoping a couple of our friends will be able to join us, but unfortunately they couldn’t and we ended up only 2 -out of 4- me on my K1300R and my friend on his B-King
We left Kuwait Monday 9pm, reached Syria the next day around 5pm, we intended to stay only 2 days in Syria, rest the first day and ride around the next day.
We spent the first day at the pool, then went riding for around 5 hours between the villages in the mountains… we reached 950m elevation, we were literary over the clouds. Read more
Pirelli Diablo Corsa III
I’ll just replaced the OEM tires of my K1300R with these Pirelli Diablo Corsa III, the OEM tires only have only around 3000 on them and they can still take another 2000km i think, but i need fresh tiers for my trip…tires that have a great grip and would last me the whole trip.
The Pirelli Diablo Corsa III is developed for both street and racetrack use, it’s a multi-compound tyre that offers the same pleasure of riding on tracks, and gives decent mileage levels on normal road use. The rear tyre is made of two compounds: a softer compound on the shoulder for perfect handling and corner grip, while the harder compound in the middle for better mileage levels. Read more
BMW Soft Bag 2 -Large-
I’ll be going on a little bike trip next week, and i needed a bag to carry my stuff so i got this BMW bag…its a 55 liter soft bag with a semi hard bottom.
Its water proof and can sit on the pillion seat or on the luggage rack and strapped to the bike chassis, it comes with 6 pairs of straps -different sizes-, sidetop pockets, light reflectors, and a shoulder strap.
In case you need to know, i easily stuffed it with 16 t-shirts, 3 jeans, 3 shorts, 2 swimming shorts, 10 underwear’s, 3 pairs of shoes, a Flip-flop, socks, laptop, camera, chargers, toiletries, and the travel documents in the transparent upper pocket.
I like the quality of and design of the bag that i also got the smaller one -30 Liters-. Read more
That must have hurt
Captured this at the gulf road a couple of weeks back, am guessing this is the first wrecked Panamera world wide.
Easy win for Lorenzo
It was a very fast and entertaining race yesterday at Laguna Seca, it kicked off with the trademark start by Pedrosa from the second row all the way to leading the race.
Both Lorenzo and Pedrosa were pushing it to the limit until Pedrosa crashed, and Lorenzo cruised to the checker flag, we were hopping to witness a fight between Rossi and Stoner but the gab was a bit big, on the other hand Rossi fought well for the 3rd position which was very entertaining.
