The Greek Paraolimpics Team
This is the Greek Paraolimpics team, i was leaving Athens to Kuwait yesterday when i met them at the airport they were leaving to China to represent Greece at the Paraolimpics.
It was quite a scene.. almost everyone at the airport gathered around them to greet and cheer them, and of course like any Arab i heard the noise and rushed to find out what’s happing.

This is one of the main reasons i go to Greece, i used to fly Olympic Airways to the US just to stop over in Athens and eat “kid lamb” at the traditional restaurants, and sea food at IΘAKH.

Santorini roads are narrow and the distances are short so the locals use scooters and motorcycles to move around the island, in the photo you see a Santorini Policeman on an R1, he came with his partner -in the background- and arrested 2 Chinese guys -also in the background under the umbrella- for working on the beach without a permit -Chinese massage-.
They had to call for a police jeep to take the arrested to the police station though.

Waiting to board
The trip from Kuwait to Athens was an easy one, i had the three seats all for myself so i slept all the way to Athens, in Athens i had to wait 6 hours for Santorini flight.
I visited Greece a lot especially on my way to the US, and i used to the ferry to take me to the islands, but because this trip was planned -this time- and the timing of the speed ferry was not suitable, i decided to take the plane. Read more
