What A Contrast
I posted about the trip i was supposed to do during Eid to the UK and then to Amsterdam, but that did not go as planned, and for the past week i was working on an alternative.
I always wanted to visit the so called “Axis of Evil” countries and had a plan to start with Cuba first, then North Korea and so on…i guess starting with Iran is a minor change.
I booked the tickets online and now i have to find a hotel in Tehran, i was advised to look for at least 5 star hotels as anything less than that is a 2 star in international standards.
Off to Amsterdam
I was supposed to be in the UK on Dec 6th with a friend for a day or 2 -he has some work to do-then head to Amsterdam until the 14th then back to Kuwait…things are not going as planned and am currently trying to find us an alternative which is NOT easy.

My Aegean Journey
I start my journey and my mind is automatically transformed into a camera… Capturing memorable images and storing them under files of unforgettable memories.
The beach…As I walk along the stretches of gold, avoiding the marble-like pebbles, the warmth and dampness of the earth beneath me embraces my feet and I am immediately pulled into it’s magnificence… sinking deeper; leaving traces of my journey for the waves to wash away… While… Waves of images crash into my mind; permanent traces, even time can’t wash away.
The chain of mountains seem endless but not as vast as the ever-lasting blue they tower over. I cool myself in the sea and simultaneously bathe in the sun; coating myself in a gleaming crisp-bronze layer.
The air is so hot you can almost taste it: an authentic taste. I fill my lungs with the joy of my surroundings.
The sun melts the horizon as it sets and I reach the end of my exquisite journey.

Waiting to board
The trip from Kuwait to Athens was an easy one, i had the three seats all for myself so i slept all the way to Athens, in Athens i had to wait 6 hours for Santorini flight.
I visited Greece a lot especially on my way to the US, and i used to the ferry to take me to the islands, but because this trip was planned -this time- and the timing of the speed ferry was not suitable, i decided to take the plane. Read more
