Best of Sharm

Am leaving Sharm today with the same mixed feelings I had the first time i was here two years ago, a feeling of i will never come back here again or I might come for a weekend just to relax at the beach and do some snorkeling.
Snorkeling is great here, you don’t need to leave the hotel to do it, its right at the beach and it doesn’t matter how many times you do it you’ll always find something new, either a new fish or a colorful coral… it’s amazing down there you could easily spend the whole morning without noticing as the colors of the corals and the variety of the fish changes as time goes by !

In the evening i hit the old market for a Koshary or a grilled fish and later on chill with a couple of espressos at my favorite coffee shop and watch the locals and the tourists pass by…maybe wetness a female fight if am lucky.

A lot of people might find this kinda of boring, for those there is Na’maa Bay and Soho square.

Note: Sharm was full of locals, Palestinians and other Arab tourists, so expect to see women swimming in their jeans and sun bathing next to topless Russian chicks.

Posted from my iPhone.

CorsaCaffe

“Coffee with a moto twist” this how CorsaCaffe describes its coffee beans blends,  CorsaCaffe is another brand extension of the Ducati brand but this time is not from Ducati !! It comes form Arun Sharma, manager of  MotoCorsa..a Ducati dealership in Portland, Oregon.

To preserve the oils and flavors of the coffee and give you the freshest possible coffee, CorsaCaffe beans are freshly roasted and shipped out to customers the same day.

Ducati has previously launched the Desmorosso a Ducati Wine  and the Ducati Profumo.

I wonder if TriStar is going to replace the Nescafe they usually serve at the showroom with some Italian roast that goes with ambiance.

There is nothing better for the ramadan headache than a chilled Cappuccino Freddo, nick named Capa Freddo is the cold version of a cappuccino….espresso over ice topped with frothed milk, i have all the tools and i’ll be indulging in one today.

Cairo,

Make sure you stay at a 10 Stars hotel –Sofitel El Gezirah is good-, you don’t need to spend more than 2 days there…the morning of the first day you visit the pyramids and museum in the afternoon you find a good restaurant and have lunch -grilledfried sea food is your safest bet, then go back to the hotel for a siesta.

In the evening you could take a Nile tour -hotels have the best ones- at night around 1 am find a good night club to watch belly dancing because you didn’t visit Cairo if don’t do a belly dance night.. at 7am you leave the night club back to hotel have breakfast and sleep.

Night clubs: Samire Amis Intercontinental and a couple at Haram St.

Restaurants: Abu El Seed, and Nile City.

Coffee: On The Go at any gas station, Bottled Water: Nestle

Don’t ask taxi drivers or waiters for recommendations, only ask the concierge or do some googling. Read more

Running on Caffeine

Caffeine

Saturday 6:30pm,

I woke up Friday 11am to visit the Pyramids and Cairo Museum -a post about the visit will follow- and am still up since then..around 31 hours so far, we had a small incident….we left Cairo Saturday 4am heading to Ras Sider and half way one of the cars flipped over and 2 guys got injured, so we headed back to Cairo..that’s after the police paper work and first aiding the injured-a broken arm and a pretty good scare-.

The meeting at Ras Sider was supposed to be our last business meeting before flying to Sharm El Shaikh, anyway the dude needs to rest a couple of days and do some proper checkups at a proper hospital in Cairo before we can meet again and finalize what we came here for, so its no use waiting in Cairo…we are on the way to the airport hoping to find a fly to Sharm.

Update: i ended this and went to bed Sunday 5am, my total up time was 42 hours..not bad..i could have completed the 48 but i couldn’t find anything interesting.

Office made coffee

IMG_0263‘Am pretty fuzzy when it comes to my morning dose of caffeine, i got fed up from picking it up from the coffee shop and drinking it from take away cups..so i decided to make my own.

I lacked the right tools for that, so had to go shopping for some and came back with a Bodum Coffee Press, a milk Frother and 1/2 LB of Dunkin Donuts coffee.

The result is exceptional, now i have to experiment with different coffee beans brands and  show the office boy how to do it.
