169 kg with 148 HP, the snack that you won’t feel bloated after !
The bike comes with all the gismos you’ll ever need, riding Modes, fully integrated ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), Engine Brake Control (EBC) and full Ride-by-Wire (RbW) throttle control with Ducati e-Grip.
The power to weight ratio is great, the rider will be able to go throttle happy without feeling guilty afterwords.
I feel this bike will do much better that the 848 which didn’t get amble time to prove it self locally, it might also do better than the 1199 which is hot, harsh and very track focused.
2013 Ducati Multistrada specs
The 2013 Multistrada got a lot of little tweaks here and there, but the most important addition to the 2013 Multistrada is the new semi-active Ducati Suspension (DSS), the DSS system uses an electric valve to control the damping of the suspension to give a comfier ride at any of the four riding modes -Sport, Touring, Urban or Enduro- without compromising the sport handling. The system monitors information from accelerometers, throttle, and the ABS to continually adjust the damping rate based on the riding mode.
ABS now comes in three modes to suit the four riding modes -Sport, Touring, Urban or Enduro- so the intervention can be increased or decreased according to the riding mode.
The engine got a 5% increase in torque at the peak of the torque curve, thanks to the repositioned injectors which now spray directly on the hot intake valve. The cylinder head is now Dual Spark −2 spark plugs per head- for a complete burn for a smother operation at low speeds.
Black beauty !
The 2013 Ducati Street Fighter got a couple of minor upgrades, but the one i like the most is the traditional Ducati red frame coupled with the new matte race titanium body.

RR still the best
According to MCN the RR is the fastest and the best on and off the track, but i still think the RSV4 is the most beautiful bike.
It’s Official -almost-
The news is now almost official, Audi has agreed to buy Ducati for about 860 million euros ($1.12 billion) including debt. According to Reuters, sources very close to the negotiations have already confirmed the success of the negotiations – ongoing for the past several weeks – and one of them also stated that the liabilities of Ducati are well below 200 million euros. Analysts said that deal lacked obvious benefits for Audi and did little but polish VW chairman Ferdinand Piech reputation as a collector of rare and exotic brands !!
I guess it’s too early for analysts to predict the effect of the deal on the R&D, but lets hope they concentrate on the development of the core business and not only abuse the brand like the Americans did with brand extensions like Ducati wine, Ducati coffee, Ducati perfume and Ducati sanitary towels !!

MotoGP Sepang Test
The 3 day test sessions at Sepang ended today and seams all teams are happy with the numbers achieved on their new 1000cc machines, Stoner managed to do the fastest lap 1:59.607 . Rossi also made great progress with the new GP12 and still fine-tuning it.
I can’t wait for the season to start and hear these new 1000cc machines live at the opening round in Qatar.
