It’s the Tires !

As we all know, Carlos Checa has been experimenting with the Ducati GP12 and already has some comments.

Checa claims that the problem with the bike isn’t the chassis as Ducati already experimented with four difference chassises and the results were almost the same ! The problem according to Checa is with tires, Checa added ” When you do not know where the limit of the tire is very hard to develop a motorcycle”

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see the results using different tires.

ZARD Exhaust are well known for their innovative designs, they produce exhaust systems for most of the motorcycles brands. The above photo is for the ZARD full system on the Diavel, notice the black ceramic qouting on the header and how the slip-on has the same curves of the rear wheel and doesn’t hide the wheel.

ZARD is offing the system in a street legal version and a race version that comes without a catalyzer, ZARD are also giving you the option to customize the system with anodizing and ceramic quoting.

Arab Riders racing team is Kuwait’s first motorcycle racing team, the guys has been riding motorcycles all their live…they actually don’t remeber when was the first time they rode a motorcycle but what they do remember is that back in 2008 they decided to take their hobby a bit more serious.

I have known Mohamad Al Hadad and Fahad Al Owaish – the 2 guys behind the Arab Riders – for a couple of years and over a cup of coffee we had a serious chat -for a change-, i asked them a couple of questions about the hobby and their recent participation at the Qatar International Road Racing Championship. Grab a Tumi Win a Monster

November 2, 2011 by · 1 Comment

A couple of weeks back Tumi bags launched their 2012 Ducati line, and now the local Tumi dealer is running a promotion in which every KD50 spent will grant you a chance to win a 796 Ducati Monster -ABS- .

Personally i like Tumi backpacks but never got any of their Ducati branded ones as i only like slim backpacks, i have the Alpha model in mind and am gona go and check if they have it in stock… hopefully its included in the promotion.

So if you are feeling lucky head up to the Avenues or to Salhiya -i think – and grab yourself  a Tumi.

How ironic

October 4, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

The news of Ducati dropping out of the 2011 super bike is old news, and the news of  Carlos Checa clamming the 2011 super bike championship on a factory machine is also old news.

But the irony is that Carlos Checa did it on the first season after Ducati decided to drop out of the super bike -Ducati participated with a factory team in every edition of the World Superbike Championship since it began in 1988- and with 2 more races to go.

Congratulations to Checa, on a season full of race wins, podiums, fastest laps and pole positions…he deserved every point of it.
