Stolen Bike
This bike got stolen yesterday from our friend’s place in Manqaf, it is a bluewhite 2003 BMW R1100S with a license plate number 2403…if you spot the bike please call Scott on 97220184, the Police, or post a comment here.
S1000RR Photos
The bike looks really narrow, i like the new colors, hate the exhaust, developing a taste for the front fairing, and love the clutch by wire.
Let it POP
Its powerfull..very powerful, yet the power delivery is smooth and precise… size and looks are deceiving, and may lure you away from this bike thinking you may not enjoy riding such a big bike….but the K1300R goes way beyond its looks, it handles like a 600cc, has the power of 1300cc, and stops like noting i have ever ridden!!!
The onboard computer on K1300R offers a lot of useful info about the bike and its components like tire pressure, ABS and ASC status..etc.. if you can memorize all the symbols and the way they flash.. fast flash, slow flash, no flash, lights-up red, lights-up yellow..etc.
Automatic Stability Control is a new feature that i did not have the guts to try yet..it intervenes and reduce the torque applied to the rear wheel once it detects a degree of instability like a sliding rare wheel….don’t worry about the bike skidding just squeeze that throttle at that curve and let the ASC take care of it.
Shift assist is yet another kick ass feature…forget all about the clutch and shift up clutchless at any speed, its like a Tiptronic gear box…the thing is so damn quick and seamless…and oh and that backfire pop sound coming from the exhaust evrey time you shift up gives you the feeling of a turbo charged engine…its like POP POP with every gear shift…just grasp that handle bar, twist the throttle, hold on to dear life and let it POP.
The K1300R is a powerful razor sharp bike, but can be as mellow as a BMW 7 series when you want it to be.
POP POP.
Recession…what recession?
I finally made up my mind…i just had to do it, the beast and the deal i got were IRRESISTIBLE.
I asked TriStar to deliver it to the office and they did, i was busy so i only rode it down to the parking hopping to take it out today but it looks like am not gona be able to ride it today as well, i was hopping to break in the engine before the weekend….not gona happen.
I can’t believe it…i have a new toy and its been almost 24 hours and i did not get a chance to play with it…am i getting old, don’t have the time, or have priorities !!!
Shall i do it?
And free this beast from the showroom?
A sweet start
The start of the 09 World Super Bike season was full of surprises, BMW Motorrad Motorsport team scored the fastest lap in race one at Phillip Island with their new bike the S 1000 RR.
BMW may have a long history in racing but they are rookies when to comes to the Superbike World Championship, and they will be facing tough competition from the manufacturers that has been racing the WSBK since 1988.

Its been a while since i raided TriStar workshop to check on any new models they might have received and still in the boxes, so i decided to pass by today after lunch as i had a hunch that my dessert could be there. Read more

A Classy Revenge
Looks like this guy is pissed off the BMW dealer, i’am guessing he forgot his Rolex in the car and it got stolen at the dealership while the car was being serviced or something.
Very creative…don’t you think?
Prices of the 2009 K series
BMW Motorrad has released the prices of the 2009 K series, the bikes should be available at BMW dealers starting February 2009, 14,700 Euro for the K1300R , 17,050 Euro for the K1300S, and 18,650 Euro for the K1300GT.
Usually the local prices are close to the European ones, and with the falling exchange rate of the Eruo the prices will be really competitive.
