The race at Indianapolis was a bit different, the competition was intense from the start but later on Pedrosa crashed, Rossi followed and the absence of Stoner left Lorenzo leading the race all the way to the checker flag.
The track was a bit tricky and had a lot of long, sharp and high speed curves..quit a few riders crashed..some managed to continue others -like Rossi- decided to quit.
Riders points: Rossi 212, Lorenzo 187, Stoner 150, Pedrosa 141 Detailed results
A dual crash for the Fiat Yamaha team
The headline should have read “Dovizioso first ever premier class victory” but i just couldn’t resist, after leading the race for a couple of rounds Lorenzo hit the asphalt and went out of the race, with 11 rounds to go Rossi crashed, but managed to ride the bike again and continue the race.
Stoner prediction for a rain fall was wrong and going with the wet tiers costed him the race.
The entertaining battle was between podium finishers Colin Edwards and Randy de Puniet, Monster Tech 3 Yamaha man Edwards took second from the LCR Honda rider on the final hairpin.
Another dual win for the Fiat Yamaha team
Sachsenring track is a very narrow track and its straits are very short, racers spend around 90% of the time with their knee down…any race on that track is really fun to watch.
Stoner was back in shape and led the race for a while, but the doctor had a couple of surprises for both Stoner and Lorenzo..for a while i thought Lorenzo would claim the podium but us usual the doctor is always there and ready to take advantage of the slightest miscalculation made by any of the racers.
A 100 win

Today Valantino Rossi made his 100 win in the MotoGP, with this win Rossi became the second rider in the MotoGP history to score a 100 win after Giacomo Agostini who is considered the greatest MotoGP rider of all time -122 win-.
After the win, Rossi went to greet his fans and they surprised him with a huge banner with photos of Rossi’s 100 wins.
The first couple of laps of the race gave the impression that this is going to be an entertaining race but after Pedrosa fell and Stoner went back to third place, Rossi was only racing himself and beating his own lap times lap after the other.

What a race, what a show, what a fight
This was probably the best race action i ever seen…the battle was vicious, fierce, brutal, you name it…it was a race between the two Yamaha team mates as if they were the only 2 racers on the Spanish circuit.
If you missed this race then you better try find a recording of it, and watch it.
Circuit de Catalunya
In 2 hours from now -14:30 local time- the sixth round of the MotoGP 2009 will kick off..its airing in on Jazeera Sport 1, and thanks to FASTtelco and Sling Box i will be watching it on my laptop from the office.
Faster than an F1
Dani Pedrosa has set a new top speed record of 349.3 km/h on his Repsol Honda, a record speed higher than what F1 cars manage on their fastest straight at Monza.
The new recored is 1.7 km/h faster than the previous record, set by Loris Capirossi on a 990 Ducati in 2003, Pedrosa had the benefit of slipstreaming Rossi.
Stoner break’s the rule
Mugello is the track where Ducati test and develop their MotoGP bikes, until yesterday the track was dominated by Valentino Rossi since he was a Honda rider, but Stoner finally broke the rule of an Italian rider winning on Italian soil.
The track was wet and the race needed time management on when to change tires, Stoner, Rossi, and Lorernzo went into the bit at the same time….it was as if Rossi, and Lorernzo were waiting for Stoner to make the move.
Lorenzo crashed at the warm up lap but continued the race and finished third, Rossi came in second.
Pedrosa crashed out on lap 14 and was stretchered out, we just have to wait and see if he is fit to race at Barcelona-his home town- in two weeks.
