The legend to be

With today’s win Jorge Lorenzo reduces the gap to 18 points between him and Rossi, although Rossi had some technical issues with the bike, Lorenzo gave us a great race today, Stoner was back in shap and finished second which is very good for someone that has been sick and away from the track for a while.
Lorenzo’s character and racing style is developing race by race, he still did not develop the charisma of the Doctor, but i feel he will get there and even out run him.
Return of the retro naked
Some of the Japanese manufacturers are are going back to their old sketch books and bringing the old naked models to life, the bikes are being produced using the latest technologies and modern materials with very little changes on the original designs.
Unfortunately we don’t have a market for these retro muscle bikes’ here, i guess we lack the taste or maybe the muscles to handle these bikes.

The Flying Donkey

Dani Pedrosa gave us the usual bullet start today at Misano, but unfortntly he couldn’t maintain the lead because of Rossi’s pressure and some technical problems with his Honda engine -he said its misfiring-.
This is when Rossi came for revenge and he led the race all the way to the flag, even Lorinzo could not come near, Rossi had a new helmet today with a Donkey face on it….in italy -just like in the Arab world – if someone makes a mistake they call him a donkey, and after the mistake Rossi did last week which costed him the race he earned name was called a donkey but he decided to show everyone that this donkey can fly!!!

Race 1: Haga’s start was best and he managed to lead the race up to couple of laps before the chequered flag when he made a slight mistake.. Spies cut loose and took the win. Makoto Tamada got into an incident with John Hopkins shortly after the start, they were both taken to the hospital.
Race 2: Haga did another mistake but this one costed him the race, and might cost him the season, he slowed down in the middle of a corner trying to go back to the race line but Rea was coming in fast… both made contact.. Haga fell and Rea claimed the podium.
Captain America takes America

The race at Indianapolis was a bit different, the competition was intense from the start but later on Pedrosa crashed, Rossi followed and the absence of Stoner left Lorenzo leading the race all the way to the checker flag.
The track was a bit tricky and had a lot of long, sharp and high speed curves..quit a few riders crashed..some managed to continue others -like Rossi- decided to quit.
Riders points: Rossi 212, Lorenzo 187, Stoner 150, Pedrosa 141 Detailed results
A dual crash for the Fiat Yamaha team
The headline should have read “Dovizioso first ever premier class victory” but i just couldn’t resist, after leading the race for a couple of rounds Lorenzo hit the asphalt and went out of the race, with 11 rounds to go Rossi crashed, but managed to ride the bike again and continue the race.
Stoner prediction for a rain fall was wrong and going with the wet tiers costed him the race.
The entertaining battle was between podium finishers Colin Edwards and Randy de Puniet, Monster Tech 3 Yamaha man Edwards took second from the LCR Honda rider on the final hairpin.
Another dual win for the Fiat Yamaha team
Sachsenring track is a very narrow track and its straits are very short, racers spend around 90% of the time with their knee down…any race on that track is really fun to watch.
Stoner was back in shape and led the race for a while, but the doctor had a couple of surprises for both Stoner and Lorenzo..for a while i thought Lorenzo would claim the podium but us usual the doctor is always there and ready to take advantage of the slightest miscalculation made by any of the racers.
A 100 win

Today Valantino Rossi made his 100 win in the MotoGP, with this win Rossi became the second rider in the MotoGP history to score a 100 win after Giacomo Agostini who is considered the greatest MotoGP rider of all time -122 win-.
After the win, Rossi went to greet his fans and they surprised him with a huge banner with photos of Rossi’s 100 wins.
The first couple of laps of the race gave the impression that this is going to be an entertaining race but after Pedrosa fell and Stoner went back to third place, Rossi was only racing himself and beating his own lap times lap after the other.
