I liked the new iPhone offers from Zain and since my voice and data consumption fits one of the monthly packages they are offering, i decided to go and get me a new white iPhone.

I went to Hawaly branch, it was very crowded, the numbering machine was broken but the guys there where helping everybody with smile on their face. My turn comes i till the guy behind the counter that i want to subscribe to one of the iPhone packages… he says great and ask me for my ID, and just when i hand him the ID he goes sorry you are not allegeable for the offer !!!!

I ask why? and he goes your residency has only 5 month left and we require you have a least 6 month !!! – ليش مقدم على ڤيزا شنجن –

I try to argue a bit trying to understand the logic behind the 6 month, but he fails to explain and just say: its the rules sir and its from up there !!!

I ask him to check since when am a Zain customer, and goes since 1993, i say does that have any value, would you or the branch manager be able to make an exception? he goes sorry sir we can’t !! so i leave the branch laughing trying to comprehend what just happened !!

I have been a loyal Zain customer for the past 18 years, i never tried of even had the urge to try any other service provider but unfortunately it seams all that doesn’t count under any brand loyalty program at Zain !!

The irony is am gona continue using Zain services because i believe they are the best and just blame the above on the system .

Thank you Zain for making my day.

Trip review

“Video best watched in HD”

The trip took around a month from August 3rd to September 1st, we spent a week in Syria, around 2 weeks in Turkey and a week in Greece.

Being on the bike made us very popular wherever we go or stay, everyone wanted to talk to us and help -if we needed any-, we made a lot of friends and went to places where tourists can never go.

It was a bit tiring but it was worth it, and i would definitely do it again, but i would ship the bike to Syria and start from there to save myself the hassle of going thru KSA and Jordan.

We left Syria Tuesday evening heading to Kuwait, all ran smoothly and borders were almost empty it took us around 4 hours to cross three border check points and reach the KSA border.

Half way across KSA -just 150km before Rafha- one the motorcycle trailer tires blow off, so we had to bring my bike down and ride it to Rafha hoping to find a tire for the trailer and replace it.

Goodbye Turkey

We left Bodrum 2 days ago heading to Syria, we took a totally different route than the one we took going there…the new rout is mostly highway so no scenery but good roads to fully open the throttle…at one part of the highway we rode around three hours at speeds of +220km.

We reached Iskenderun in the evening and were too exhausted to do another 200km to our home in Syria so we decided to spend our last night in Turkey at Iskenderun and head to Syria in the morning.

The Aging Busa

A couple of my friends are hard core Hayabusa fans, they have ridden almost all kind of bikes but they swear by the Hayabusa, the other day we were having coffee at TriStar and they were asking me about my K1300R and if it really performs like a 1300cc machine..they were like: we know it has good breaks and traction -a couple of things the Haybusa lacks- but is it as fast as Busa ?

My answer was: yes it is very powerful but it can’t compete with thr Hayabusa when it comes to top end speed becuase its a naked bike and lacks the wind tunnel aerodynamics the Busa has….we had a long debate then decided to put both machines to the test, so we went to a place were we can test them, we did a couple of test runs then 2 final runs to crown a winner. The best pain killer ever

It has been 44 days since i had my accident and i have been on pain killers almost every day for the past 44 days….the reason am still on pain killers is that my shoulder is still hurting and according to the doctor it could take up to 3 month for the pain to go away completely …now the problem with the pain killer am taking is that its very strong to an extend that you can’t do anything that requires concentration…its like being high on drugs, its not a bad feeling at all.. its actually a nice one, it puts you in a very cool mood, but you can’t concentrate so you can’t work, a simple task like writing an email could take forever !!

Yesterday the weather was nice, and the movement of my shoulder became much better so i decided to take the bike for a spin… i told myself that am gona ride slowly and just enjoy the sun and cool breeze…after 10 minutes on the bike the blood start circulating faster, my glands start secreting that Epinephrine hormone, Epinephrine reaches my brain…my brain tells my right hand to twist the throttle a bit more and unleash some of the 173hps’ between my legs….the more i twist the throttle the bigger the Epinephrine dose become… i start feeling better, and all my pains disappear, ahhhh i feel alive again ….my brain is clear as if i drank a gallon of coffee, i feel like a teen again…yes thats the power of Epinephrine, i guess thats why they call us Adrenaline junkies.

Long live Adrenaline, the best pain killer ever.
