Ducati returns to the TT
Michael Rutter and his British Superbike Championship team Riders Motorcycles will be racing a 1098R Ducati at the 2010 Isle of Man TT, Ducati is one of the great names in the TT, but haven’t participated since 2003….it will be very exciting to see them race again.
BMW is also returning and KTM will participate for the first time ever.
Yet another rumor
BMW to buy MV Agusta.
I wouldn’t be surprised, they are the only company with loads of cash while all other bike manufacturers are in the red.

A friend of mine got the new BMW S1000RR for a day to test ride it, we went out around 10am Friday and enjoyed the usual Friday morning ride …then we meet up with some friends for coffee, one had a Hayabusa and the other had a GSX-R 1000, of-course the usual debate starts and we end up racing the BMW against the Hayabusa and its little brother the GSX-R1000.
I’ll leave you with a couple of videos… Read more

The Aging Busa

A couple of my friends are hard core Hayabusa fans, they have ridden almost all kind of bikes but they swear by the Hayabusa, the other day we were having coffee at TriStar and they were asking me about my K1300R and if it really performs like a 1300cc machine..they were like: we know it has good breaks and traction -a couple of things the Haybusa lacks- but is it as fast as Busa ?
My answer was: yes it is very powerful but it can’t compete with thr Hayabusa when it comes to top end speed becuase its a naked bike and lacks the wind tunnel aerodynamics the Busa has….we had a long debate then decided to put both machines to the test, so we went to a place were we can test them, we did a couple of test runs then 2 final runs to crown a winner. A bike with a Guardian Angel
Tristar gave me the new BMW S1000RR to ride on the weekend, i had to promise not to rev it to more than 9,000 rpm – a promise i broke at the first red traffic light turned green-, i don’t know where to start in describing the double RR, the bike is the size of 600cc but with a 1000cc engine, it has a very nice seating position…and all the technology that BMW is famous for -Race ABS, Race Traction Control, Shift Assist, 4 riding modes..etc -.
It took me some time to build trust in the technology and put it to the test, when i say putting it to the test i mean taking the bike to the limits…and frankly i couldn’t take it to the limit – i guess am getting old -. Read more
